"Little Big Stars" The 7th edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place on November 21st. This event, specially made for singers under 16, has been criticized by many people, mainly because of the age of the partcipants, but it's not something new in the music industry. In 1939, Judy Garland, then 16, already appeared in numerous movies before she gave life to Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, and showing her singing abilities by performing the songs, including the legendary Over The Rainbow. Michael Jackson was only 11 when the Jackson Five released their first number 1 song, I Want You Back, and 13 when he released his first solo album in 1972. In the 80's, Sandra Kim won the Eurovision Song Contest for Belgium, pretending in the lyrics of her winning song that she was 15. In fact she was 13... In 1992, France was ready for a scandal when Jordy became an international star with his song Dur Dur d'Être Bébé. He was... 4. So in this new special edition, we will pay a tribute to all these children who once thought they could do it, and some really did it, with great songs which are now part of the music history. | The Results |
